Frame
Laser cut A36 Steel Plate ½ thick Welded Assembly
The Shopdog 16 is sized to be mounted on a 36 tall stand or workbench
Powerhead
One HP 1725 RPM Motor Vee belt drive.
Vertical adjustment for progressive pass work.
Quick 3/8 raise by lever for inserting and removing work.
Adjustable Stroke 1/16 to 3/8.
Eccentric action provides smooth, positive power stroke.
Main Shaft runs on four large ball bearings.
Connecting rod uses large roller bearing on big end.
Variable Speed Drive
Shopdog 16 is equipped with a VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) controlled by a foot pedal.
Pedal control gives a single stroke or up to 1500 strokes per minute. No settings to change, the control is in the pedal movement.
Power requirement 220 volt 1Ph
Toolholding Collets
Self-releasing 5/8 square collets hold tools securely
Square tool shanks automatically index tools
Collets closed by large nut drilled for supplied spanner wrench
Lower Toolholder
Machined from steel billet
Easily removable for tool changes and setup hand tight clampscrew locks toolholder in the same position everytime.
Toolholder position is adjustable front to rear by a single screw.
Vertical adjustment of lower tool by a hand knob beneath the lower toollholder.

Collet Spanner wrench, Tee handled allen key only tools needed.
