technical description: this machine
was
developed for precision grinding of
cutting knives and other parts which can fit in
the clamping area. machine has 3 motors:
grinding wheel drive motor,1 for power carriage
drive traversing and another for coolant
motor.the grinding wheel is assembled directly
onto tthe extended shaft of the wheel motorthats
mounted to the traversing feed
carriage.traversing of the feed carriage is
automatic with the manual setting of the
reversing stops,the drive transmission frpom the
carriage feed motor by v belt to worm gear
box,then to drive sprocket and roller chain.the
grinding wheel is lowered to the knife(or
part)to be ground in a vertical direction with a
manual handwheel,the vernier scale is graduated
into 0.025mm or 0.001" increments.
The grinding angle is set in
rference to horizontal 0deg indicator with a
graduated degree scale on left side of machine
also you can tilt motor/grinding
wheel
centerline by adjusting screw and bracket on
top
of carriage to profide a more hollow ground
knife edge
