9x47 table
Ad Number: 15885
Year: 1963 Make: Index Model: 645
Machine Type: Condition: Fair Price: sold
Description:
Index knee mill model 645
Its old but everything works!
9"x 47" table
Travels 31"x, 12"y, 16"z and about 5" on the
spindle
Uses R8 collets
Overall dimensions are 7' tall, 5' deep and 5'
wide
All lead screws turn easy, and the motor runs
quite.
Power feed in the Z direction on spindle works
in all gears.
Runs on 3 phase 220 with a 50 amp breaker.
The lead screws are ACME thread so the tolerance
is not as high as a modern ball screw mill, but
it would work great for a home shop or low
tolerance parts.
I also have a 2 axis DRO that came with the
machine. Not sure if it was ever on this
machine, but with a little work it could be
mounted.

Has a tag on it that reads "Keuffel and Esser
M03". This company invented and built slide
rules and M01 is in the Smithsonian.
Does not come with any vices, collets, or tools.
