General Description |
- The ProLine 36 inch Planishing Hammer is a floor standing unit, designed for forming or planishing compound curves in sheet metal. It is used in many industries, including automobile and aircraft restoration, race car fabrication, sheet metal stamping shops, artistic applications, etc. A ProLine planishing hammer takes the work out of metal work and saves the experienced metal worker hours of time, leading to increased production.
One huge advantage with the design of the Proline hammers is the foot pedal activation. By pressing the foot pedal down once the material is in place, you bring the dies together and start the air motor in one step. This not only allows for easy removal of your part when open, but gives very precise control of the pressure and allows for feathering off at the end of a shape. This is not possible with most planishing hammers that have a fixed die gap. The lower arm on these cast iron floor models can be lowered to accommodate an optional bottom anvil for deep parts. Other special anvils are available, which allow the operator to move the lower arm off-center without losing position. They feature heavy duty pneumatic motors and sturdy cast iron frames.
