General Description |
- Just purchased warehouse where these wheels were stored on oak shelves (see pictures). There are over 1000 industrial grinding wheels in this lot including Norton Alundum, Aloxite Vitrified, Carborundum, Robertson, & Macklin brands. Sizes & minimum quantities include 24 X 2 X 12 & 24 X 1-1/2 X 12 (50), 16 X 1 X 1-1/4 (250), 18, 20, & 24 X 3/4 X 9 (180), 20 X 3-8" X 12 (40), 20 X 1-3/4-3" X 8 (40), 10 X 1-1/4 X 6 (65), 4-1/2 X 2 X 1-1/2-3" (150), 16 X 2 X 5 (11), 20 X 2 X 10 (15), 12 X 1-1/2 X 3 (35), and a whole lot more. Some have bevel edges or faces and grits vary from course to fine. Differing colors include grey, white, & brown. A corporation in Charleston, WV estimated a company would have to spend approximately $75,000 to buy these grinding wheels new. I don't know how old they are but they were stored on shelves and completely in the dry.
